Some of the most useful advice in cancer nutrition is also the most unglamorous. When treatment brings mouth ulcers, eating hurts, and when eating hurts, nutrition quietly falls apart at exactly the moment the body needs it most.
One of the tips I shared in an article published by Sin Chew: use a straw. It moves liquids past the sore spots and keeps calories and protein coming in. Small tools, faithfully used, often beat grand plans that hurt too much to follow.
